Editor’s Pick:
Best of January Beauty
The brand new beauty products we’re obsessed with
From an illuminating multi-purpose makeup stick to a potent booster serum, find out which new beauty arrivals our editors will be swiping up for themselves this month.
Pastel Perfection
Bridget Barnett, Junior Editor says, “I’m in the mood for spring early this year, gravitating towards pastel hued makeup that feels so fresh after winter’s typically pigmented, sultry beauty looks.” Cue Bridget’s, newest obsession with NARS’ mini pastel hue cheek palettes, glimmering Sheer Pop Multiple sticks and Shiseido’s range of seven rainbow pastel face powders. The finishing touch she says has to be YSL Volupte Tint-Balm that “seals the deal with a flirty, sheer kiss.”
Baby, It’s Dry Outside
The shift into depth of winter triggers my skin to dry out quickly, says Jennifer Cardenas, Lane Crawford’s Managing Editor, “I will be fighting back with super serums that give my daily moisturiser an extra kick.” Two brand new favourites? La Mer’s Revitalizing Hydrating Serum, which floods the skin with tiny micro-droplets of fermented algae to create a haven of hydration, and SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier, which works to amplify skin’s hyaluronic acid levels. Jennifer’s top tip? “Mix in a couple of drops of Clarins’ potent Booster Repair to protect against harsh climates, and you’re set to brave the cold.”
Two Scents Worth
A new year means the chance for a new you, which surely makes it the perfect time to find a new scent? Rita Wang, Lane Crawford’s Chinese Writer says, “From the milky, powdery florals of Alaïa Eau de Parfum Blanche to the rich, potent sap of Jo Malone Cologne Intense in Myrrh & Tonka, there are just too many yin and yang options for me to choose between, so I think I’ll make 2017 the year when I opt for two signature scents that complement me and my lifestyle.”
