Daily Dose

“When Clinique came out with this Fresh Pressed booster that promised results in seven days, I was definitely interested,” said Rosie Lai, Senior Writer. “None of that waiting around for months to see results. You add a few drops of the Vitamin C concentrate to your moisturiser and each day your skin gets a hit of the skin boosting super antioxidant that brightens, firms and retexturises. However, Vitamin C degrades quickly, so once the package is opened and exposed to air it has to be finished in a week, so I like to use it as a super-effective at-home treatment in the lead up to an occasion where I want to look my best.”

Our Little Secret

“I have a small confession - I collect lipsticks for their packaging as much as for their colour,” says Jennifer Cardenas, Managing Editor. “So I was quite relieved when I saw that Hourglass’ beautiful Confession Lip Sculptor collection is entirely refillable. Encased in a sleek gold stylet a la Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the ultra-pigmented lipsticks come in 30 shades, and each refill begs you to confess a little secret with text written on the side like “I’ll Never Stop…” Well, if you must know, I’ll never stop showing this lipstick off to my girlfriends.”

Available from July 14, online and in store at Lane Crawford ifc mall, Canton Road and Times Square.

Brush Up

“Now that I’ve tried applying perfume with a brush I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to spritzing,” says Cher Kwong, Brand Communications Director. “The blackout Byredo brush was inspired by the Kabuki brushes associated with Japanese theatre except it’s also steeped with fragrant powder that diffuses the scent across your neck as you sweep it on. I love this elegant motion that’s now incorporated into my daily routine, and I must say it travels much better than glass bottles.”
