“Imagine,” says Philippe Starck, “there is a humble guy who takes a humble broom and starts to clean the workshop and with this dust of nothing, he makes new magic. That’s why we call it 'Broom'.” With that in mind, Starck transforms waste into something new in the form of a sleek chair. Made from 90 percent industrial waste, the Broom chair encompasses multiple layers of the past and relates it to our present.

Spending his time scouring eBay for unwanted glass lampshades, Male reinterprets the unloved through experimenting with form and colour. A visually compelling and meaningful project, "Rebay" presents a sliver of history with a flick of the switch.
